Warranty Issues and Defect Situations

Send warranty requests via email to asiakaspalvelu (at) hobbylinna.fi. Read the text below and include your name, order number, faulty product code, and defect description in the email.

The warranty for RC products differs from the normal warranty for consumer products. RC products come with a manufacturing defect warranty, and warranty matters differ because RC products are sometimes subjected to extreme stress. While most products are designed to withstand rigorous handling, drawing the line can be challenging. It's often difficult to determine whether the product's breakdown is due to a manufacturer's defect, consumer mishandling, or, for instance, a collision.

If a consumer has received the wrong product or if the product is faulty, the consumer must notify us immediately. Therefore, carefully check your order to ensure that all products are included, match the items listed in the shipment, and are in good condition. Do not use a faulty product to avoid further damage. If you have ordered a model kit, check within 14 days of receiving it that all parts and castings are included. The instruction manual usually contains a list of parts and castings that should be included in the model kit.

Before filling out the warranty form, consider the following:

  • Has the damaged product been exposed to moisture?
  • Are there any external signs of mechanical stress/wear on the product?
  • Has the damaged component been opened by the customer?
  • If it's an electrical device, is it possible that a short circuit occurred (wires connected incorrectly)?
  • If it's a so-called consumable part, it's usually not covered by the warranty. For example, power transmission parts.

If any of these points apply to your case, the product is unlikely to be covered by the warranty.

We charge reasonable postage and diagnostics fees if the product sent here is not covered by the warranty.

NOTE! Do not return an entire RC car, drone, or helicopter without a return request. The warranty applies to the faulty component, which will be replaced with a new one. According to the instructions, the customer can send the faulty component back to us for examination via customer return. If the fault is detected and it has not been misused, it will be replaced with a new or equivalent warranty repair. If you return a complete car, drone, or helicopter to us for examination/repair, we usually have to charge for labor costs and partially for shipping costs.

NOTE! Once you have filled out the warranty form, ensure that you receive immediate confirmation and a ticket number from us via email.
