RC products are hobby-grade devices that are often exposed to significant mechanical and electrical stress. These products require proper use, regular maintenance, and ongoing condition monitoring.
Hobbylinna Oy is liable for product defects in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.
Any manufacturer’s warranty is an additional benefit and does not limit the consumer’s statutory rights.
The seller is responsible for defects in accordance with consumer protection legislation.
If a defect appears within one year from delivery, it is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery unless:
Statutory liability does not cover normal wear and tear.
Some products may include a separate manufacturer’s warranty.
Warranty terms are defined by the manufacturer.
Manufacturer warranties typically cover material or manufacturing defects but do not cover:
LiPo batteries are consumable and chemically sensitive products.
Battery lifespan and condition are affected by:
LiPo batteries are covered by a functionality guarantee upon delivery.
If a manufacturing defect is suspected, the battery can be evaluated case-by-case.
Battery failure during use does not automatically indicate a manufacturing defect.
NiMH batteries may become damaged if stored fully discharged for extended periods.
They should be stored partially charged.
Common causes of failure include:
Opening, modifying, or changing connectors on ESCs or motors may affect warranty processing if related to the defect.
If the product becomes wet, use must be stopped immediately and the unit dried before reuse.
Engine seizure is typically caused by lean fuel mixture settings or overheating.
Such damage is generally not considered a manufacturing defect.
The following are considered wear parts:
Normal wear or breakage caused by operational stress is not covered as a defect.
RC boats are subject to high mechanical load and water exposure.
Any manufacturer warranty follows the manufacturer’s specific terms.
Statutory defect liability applies in accordance with consumer protection law.
Modifying, opening, soldering, or structurally altering a product may affect warranty or defect liability evaluation if the modification is related to the issue.
If a manufacturing or material defect is confirmed, the product will be repaired, replaced, or refunded in accordance with applicable law.
